# Expert Hacks:

01 -
  • It takes almost no effort but feels like you've done something genuinely kind for yourself.
  • The peppermint cools and soothes at the same time, which sounds impossible until you try it.
  • Honey adds just enough sweetness without making it feel like a dessert drink.
  • You probably already have everything you need sitting in your kitchen right now.
02 -
  • Don't skip covering the tea while it steeps, or you'll lose half the aroma to the air.
  • Add honey only after steeping, high heat can dull its flavor and reduce its natural benefits.
  • If using fresh peppermint, bruising the leaves before steeping makes all the difference in flavor strength.
03 -
  • If you grow your own peppermint, harvest leaves in the morning after the dew dries for the most concentrated oils.
  • A teapot with a built-in strainer makes cleanup almost nonexistent and keeps the leaves from floating into your cup.
  • Double the batch and keep it warm in a thermos if you want a second cup later without starting over.
