Roasted Brussels Sprouts Beef Bacon (Printable)

Crispy Brussels sprouts and savory beef bacon make a flavorful and satisfying side dish.

# What You'll Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

→ Meat

02 - 4 oz beef bacon, chopped

→ Seasonings

03 - 2 tbsp olive oil
04 - 1/2 tsp sea salt
05 - 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
06 - 1/4 tsp garlic powder

→ Optional

07 - 1 tbsp balsamic glaze, for drizzling
08 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
03 - Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the chopped beef bacon evenly over the top.
04 - Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are golden and crispy and the beef bacon is cooked.
05 - Remove from the oven. If desired, drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

# Expert Hacks:

01 -
  • The beef bacon gets deliciously crisp while rendering fat that seasons the sprouts from within
  • Everything happens on one sheet pan, making cleanup almost nonexistent
02 -
  • Overcrowding the pan steams the sprouts instead of roasting them, so give them some room
  • The beef bacon will continue crisping slightly after it comes out of the oven
03 -
  • Buy Brussels sprouts that feel tight and heavy, with bright green leaves and no yellow spots
  • If the bacon finishes before the sprouts, remove it briefly and return for the last 5 minutes
