- In a medium bowl, combine oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated and the mixture is evenly combined.
- In a small separate bowl, whisk together the cooled espresso, mascarpone cheese, cocoa powder, and maple syrup. Continue whisking until the mixture is completely smooth and no lumps remain.
- Divide half of the oat mixture between two jars or bowls, spooning it evenly into each container. Use the back of a spoon to create an even base layer.
- Top each oat base with half of the tiramisu mixture, spreading it gently over the oats to create an even second layer.
- Add the remaining oat mixture on top of the tiramisu layer in each jar, followed by the remaining tiramisu mixture to finish the layered presentation.
- Cover the jars or bowls tightly with lids and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the oats to soften and flavors to meld.
- Just before serving, dust the tops generously with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings if desired for added texture and visual appeal.
